Time change during Data load.

Problem :

During the data load using the data loader, the same timestamp is provided as the input for the Create Date attribute value in the source file column. However, when the data is loaded into Reltio, an additional 5 hours and 30 minutes are added to the attribute value.

Cause :

This is the standard or default behavior implemented by Reltio. The system automatically assumes that all timestamps received from incoming data are formatted in Coordinated Universal Time (UTC). This means that regardless of the original time zone of the data source, Reltio treats the timestamps as if they are in UTC, ensuring a consistent and unified time reference across all data inputs.

Solution :

When providing a timestamp such as "05‑17‑2023 00:00:00" without specifying a time zone, Reltio interprets it as UTC, regardless of whether the intended time is local.
Consequently, the system processes your input as 00:00 UTC and subsequently converts it to the local time of your browser (for instance, IST), which may display as 05:30 (UTC+5:30) in the user interface. To address this issue, it is recommended to convert your time zone to UTC prior to loading the timestamp into Reltio.
