Cardinality DCR created successfully and no error message in the UI

Issue-

We have configured cardinality in SIT and UAT environment.

Using a admin privilege with my role, i am suggesting DS status added for new values, instead of update. 

Working in SIT environment and error message popped up for the same. But i am trying same type of data changes in UAT and it is not working. DCR created successfully and no error message in the UI

Solution-

 
1.Please, take into consideration that the cardinality works for OV values only. If an attribute is going to have more than cardinality.maxValue values, the validation errors will be shown. If ov strategy creates less number of values after applying the changes, validation message won’t be shown.
 
2. The UI analyzes OV values only and calculates how many OV values will be there when the entity is saved. Cardinality only works with OV values.
 
3. Will have to check when the cardinality validation message is not displayed and there is more than 1 OV value present after the entity is saved?
 
4. Cardinality is dependent on Survivorship Rule.  If Aggregation then Cardinality of 1 works when you try and add a second value because there now would be 2 OV values.  But with recency, there is only 1 OV value so cardinality thinks there is only 1 value.  Or to put it directly, cardinality only checks for OV values so it is dependent on the survivorship settings for that attribute
