Customize the Language translations.

Question :

How can we customize the language translation?

Answer :

The tenant UI can load translations from an external JSON file configured under properties.i18n. If the required translations are missing from that file, the labels can remain in English.

To configure custom translations:

  1. Copy the contents of the localization file eg : https://reltio-ui-localization.s3.amazonaws.com/fr.json, into a JSON file that your organization maintains.
  2. Preserve the existing translations and add or update the required entries using the same format.
  3. Host the updated file in your organization’s repository, eg : S3 bucket. Ensure the file URL is accessible to the tenant and the browser loading the UI. Any network restrictions must allow this access.
  4. Update the tenant’s UI configuration to reference your hosted file. Merge the following settings into the existing configuration, replacing the example URL:

    {
      "properties": {
        "i18n": {
          "fr": "https://your-repository.example.com/fr.json"
        }
      }
    }
  5. Set the browser language to the required language, reload the tenant UI, and verify that the labels display the expected translations. Apply the configuration to each tenant that requires these customizations.

If labels remain in English, verify that the configured URL serves the updated, valid JSON file and that its translation keys match the English labels exactly.
