Question
How does Reltio execute the clone activity?
Answer
The clone activity refers to the process of refreshing Tenant A utilizing a backup from Tenant B. Reltio is capable of refreshing tenant data, configuration, and RDM components. The customer is required to provide the following information when requesting the clone activity:
- Components to be refreshed - The components include Data, Configuration, and RDM.
- Source Tenant ID - The ID of the tenant backup from which the clone activity will be performed.
- Target Tenant ID - The ID of the tenant that will be refreshed with the source tenant backup.
- Time to perform the clone activity, including the time zone.
The customer may request Reltio to create a fresh backup of the source system or utilize the daily backup of the production tenant for the clone activity. Reltio conducts daily backups of the production tenant starting at 10:00 PM PST. The duration required for the backup to complete is contingent upon the volume of data within the tenant. These backups are retained for a period of 7 days.
Note: Reltio does not perform daily backups for lower environments.
Customers may also request Reltio to create a point-in-time backup of their production environment in the event of significant changes that may require restoration if issues arise. Reltio will retain the point-in-time backup for 30 days.
Please be advised that development tenants are limited to 200,000 entities. If the source system contains more than 200,000 entities, the development tenant cannot be refreshed. However, test tenants and production tenants are provisioned at the same capacity. If the production tenants exceed 200,000 entities, request the test tenant as the target tenant for cloning.
Reltio can only perform the full clone activity. As of now, there is no option for partial clone. The clone activity takes 5 - 7 business days to complete, it also depends on the amount of data in the tenant. Reltio recommended planning the clone activity in advance and creating a task ticket with Reltio support.
